[He sighs as he enters the house for the first time in months. It's shockingly quiet. It's certainly not the fanfare he expected after his earlier conversation with Megumi, but he welcomes it all the same. He moves silently through the corridors with Pyrrha, his new foxlike companion, happily throttling behind him. Lahabrea does not spend much time in the common area, instead heading straight to his room to gather himself.
However, something in the corner catches Pyrrha's attention, prompting the small fennekin to bark. Exhausted and in desperate need of rest, Lahabrea pauses briefly as he pushes open the door to his room, his gaze fixed on Pyrrha.]
Pyrrha, be silent. I don't recall you being so chatty.
[ She hears him before he enters- they did manage to get a larger house, now with all the quests under their belts, and with Joie living there, at least she wasn't alone (she also dragged Emet-Selch in whenever she could, though understandably, she tried not to force him seeing as this was where Hythlodaeus lived as well).
So when Lahabrea's scent (along with a new one) enters the house, she listens in- oh, it must be the little friend he made- but it's as he's opening the door that the Fennekin barks at him and-
What will come flying at Lahabrea is a big blue blur of miqo'te, arms wrapping around him as well as a tail!! ]
Lahabreaaa!!!
[ Never in her LIFE did she think there would come a day she'd yell out his name with affection and having missed him!! There's also comical crying with it, eyes wobbly and big loud sobs accompanying. ]
You feel like you haven't eaten a thing!! You're all BONE!!
[Lahabrea is not easily startled, but he nearly jumped when something or someone flew at him. He looks down at Megumi in complete shock, becoming rigid as a board when the woman hugs him. This elicits a cheerful bark from Pyrrha that sounds suspiciously like laughter. He casts a quick glance over at the fennekin, disapprovingly, before returning his attention to Megumi.]
Greetings, Megumi.
[Lahabrea appears to be a little thin right now. The man has been locked away in the library's deep halls for far too long. However, he questions Megumi's exaggerated claims.]
Is all well? I've noticed you and the others have made some adjustments here in my absence.
[ She stays clinging to Lahabrea just to be sure he's there. Regardless of what they've been through, she has all the affection packed into her, and she doesn't mind the creature's laughter either. ]
Of course we did... wehh....
[ Little sniffles. ]
'tis hard enough to know how long someone will stay or when they'll vanish and return and 'tis good to be prepared!!
[ Squeezing him some more, before she relaxes her hold. ]
And 'tis not as though I won't miss you either way!! Nay, this won't do. Food first! I hunted some delicious game and Joie cooked!! Come along!!
[ She's just going to grab his hand and- pause as she looks at Pyrrha.
[The longer she clings to him, the more Lahabrea wonders when he last allowed such close contact. He looks down at Megumi in silent wonder, his mind reeling as he recalls his lonely past. However, those thoughts do not last long, especially since his new little friend is chuckling at them.
He gives Pyrrha a glare, but the fennekin remains unconcerned. She continued to laugh until Megumi noticed her. That's when the little fox amps up the cuteness. The pokemon fluffs up her fur and strikes a pose before Megumi, as if demanding to be perceived for all her fluffy, cute glory.
Lahabrea, on the other hand, merely rolls his eyes as he regards the creature. It seems he's not easily swayed by Pyrrha's antics.]
Food first, and nonsense later.
[He comments before deciding to introduce the pair.]
Megumi, this is Pyrrha. I found her before my excursion to Amberfall. I won her from an unusual machine in the town proper.
[ It's just as surprising to her that she's feeling as much for Lahabrea, but between seeing Emet-Selch be sad about Hythlodaeus' departure (and feeling guilty, as she's the one who encouraged them)- to not seeing Lahabrea for a while, all her emotions are really coming in hard now.
But- onto nicer things, the fennekin definitely has her attention and she crouches, tail swaying in curiosity as she looks the pokemon over. ]
Isn't she a beauty.
[ She'll bring her face close, a cat-like gesture (don't call her a cat) before she sniffs her. ]
And she smells nice too! Hello, Pyrrha. I'm Megumi! I'm the Matriarch, so you should listen to me, because you're little.
[ What, she has to establish her dominance as the Matriarch! ]
